Hit.
Three US troops reported killed in Resistance bombing near citadel in Hit.
In a dispatch posted at 12:55pm Mecca time Wednesday, Mafkarat
al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US
patrol near the citadel in the middle of Hit.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the city reported a source
in the Iraqi army – which was deployed in significant numbers Wednesday
morning because of the US offensive on al-Hadithah – said that the
explosion severely damaged an American Humvee, killing three US troops
and wounding two other American soldiers.
After the attack, US forces surrounded the area and brought in
helicopters to recover the wounded. The dead were taken by Humvee to
the US 'Ayn al-Asad airbase.
Three US troops reported killed in Iraqi Resistance car bombing attack near Hit early Wednesday.
An Iraqi resistance car bomber attacked a US military column on the
highway leading northwest from Hit towards al-Hadithah at 8:30am local
time Wednesday morning.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported eyewitnesses as saying
that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter raced his black,
explosives-laden car into a passing US column and blew up. The
explosion set fire to one US Humvee and one truck loaded with supplies
for US forces. Three American soldiers were killed and two more US
troops wounded in the attack.
After the attack, US troops closed the highway as helicopters flew
in and landed in the area apparently to evacuate the wreckage and the
casualties.
Ar-Ramadi.
US troops seize mosques in ar-Ramadi, turn them into camps.
Mafkarat al-Islam reported in a dispatch posted at5:22pm Mecca time
Wednesday afternoon, that US forces backed up with armor and other
giant vehicles had stormed seven mosques in ar-Ramadi, some 110km west
of Baghdad. The Americans reportedl threw worshippers out of the
mosques, arresting some of them. They then closed the mosques and
declared them to be US military encampments. No one was allowed to get
within 1,000meters of the buildings.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported that one of the
mosques that the Americans took over is the main cathedral mosque of
ar-Ramadi. US troops deployed snipers in the building’s two minarets
and brought several military vehicles inside the mosque courtyard.
Al-Fallujah.
Resistance bomb blasts joint US-Iraqi puppet army patrol early Wednesday.
In a dispatch posted at 9:20am Mecca time Wednesday morning,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while before an Iraqi
Resistance bomb had exploded by a joint US-Iraqi puppet army patrol on
the main road in the middle of al-Fallujah.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported eyewitnesses in
al-Fallujah as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of
the road blew up as the joint patrol of two US Humvees and two pickups
belonging to the Iraqi puppet army drove past. The explosion heavily
damaged one of the Humvees, wounding two US troops and one Iraqi puppet
army soldier.
Baghdad.
US soldier reported killed in Iraqi Resistance ambush in 'Arab Jabbur, south of Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 10am Mecca time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat
al-Islam reported that about 20 Iraqi Resistance fighters armed with
light and medium weapons and pipe rockets attacked a joint US-Iraqi
puppet army patrol of several US Humvees and Iraqi puppet army pickups
in the 'Arab Jabbur area south of Baghdad, sparking a fierce battle.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of 'Arab
Jabbur who witnessed the clash said that one pickup belonging to the
Iraqi puppet army was completely burned up and one US Humvee disabled
in the attack. One American soldier and four Iraqi puppet army troops
were killed in the attack and two US troops and one Iraqi puppet army
soldier were wounded.
Afterwards, US forces with helicopter air support surrounded the area where the fighting took place.
Humanitarian group: 170,000 Iraqi homeless thanks to US military operations.
The Iraqi Association for Aid to Victims of Military Operations
announced that more than 170,000 Sunni Iraqis in the areas of al-Anbar
Province, Samarra’, Mosul, and al-Basrah had been displaced by
occupation forces, members of the Iraqi puppet army, and the
pro-Ameican Shi'i militia that is helping rule Iraq for the US
occupation.
An announcement by the Association, a copy of which was obtained by
Mafkarat al-Islam, reported that tens of thousands of Sunnis have now
been living in tents and abandoned government buildings and school play
grounds, and some in the Iraqi western desert for more than a year.
They were made homeless when US forces destroyed or took over their
homes in the course of their various offensives, and families have not
been compensated for the losses, despite claims by the US-installed
Baghdad regime that it was paying out compensation.
The Association said that the lives of 80 percent of those homeless
people are in danger due to their living environments and the lack of
water and food. The report said that what aid they do receive from Arab
countries and Sunni Iraqi support agencies is only sufficient for 40
percent of the victims.
Salah ad-Din Province.
Tikrit.
Resistance bombards US base in al-'Awjah, Tikrit.
In a dispatch posted at 5:20pm Mecca time Wednesday afternoon,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had fired six
rockets into the US base set up in an occupied Iraqi presidential
palace in the al-'Awjah area south of Tikrit.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in the are reported a
captain in the Iraqi puppet army, who asked not to be identified, as
saying that six rockets blasted into the US base. The source said that
the barrage leve more than 19 US soldiers dead or wounded. That was the
number of US troops evacuated to a nearby military hospital used by the
Marines to treat their wounded.
Residents of al-'Awjah saw thick smoke rising from one place in the
southern part of the palace area for some two hours after the attack.
Finally US helicopters put out that blaze.
Al-Mushahadah.
Three US troops reported killed in Resistance ambush of US patrol Wednesday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 9:30am Mecca time Wednesday morning,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had attacked a
patrol of several US Humvees near the town of al-Mushahadah on a farm
road that leads to at-Tarimiyah.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of
al-Mushahadah who witnessed the attack as saying that Resistance
fighters armed with light and medium weapons, including RPK light
machine guns and RPG7 rocket-propelled grenades attacked the US patrol,
sparking an approximately 15-minute long fire fight.
The battle left one of the US vehicles on fire and three American
soldiers dead and three other US troops wounded. The witnesses said
that one of the Resistance fighters was also killed in the battle and
another of them wounded.

Al-Latifiyah.
Resistance bomb blasts Iraqi puppet army column Wednesday morning.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet army column on
the road to al-Yusufiyah, south of Baghdad and west of al-Latifiyah at
about 9am local time Wednesday morning.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported witnesses in
al-Latifiyah as saying that a bomb exploded as an Iraqi puppet army
column of three troop transports and four pickups was driving past. The
blast set one troop transport on fire, killing two Iraqi puppet army
soldiers and wounding two other Iraqi puppet army troops.
Al-Hillah.
Shi'i mosque bombed late Wednesday.
In another apparent effort to try to exacerbate tension between
Iraq’s Sunni and Shi'i communities, and thereby facilitate American
plans for the eventual partition of Iraq, a Shi'i mosque in al-Hillah
was bombed on Wednesday.
The Iraqi puppet police announced that 25 people were killed and 87
others wounded when a bomb exploded in a Shi'i mosque in the city of
al-Hillah, south of Baghdad on Wednesday evening.
An official in an aid agency under the health department of Babil
Province said that numerous dead and wounded had been extracted from
the blast area, but that rescue work was still underway, according to a
Reuters report monitored by Mafkarat al-Islam.
A spokesman for the puppet police said that it was likely that a
bomb was detonated by the entrance to the mosque at the time that an
explosives-packed car blew up nearby.
Ninwa Province.
Mosul.
Resistance ambushes Iraqi puppet police column early Wednesday.
Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked an Iraqi puppet police patrol in
the al-Islah az-Zira'i neighborhood of central Mosul in northern Iraq
at about 8:30am local time Wednesday morning.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported a member of the Iraqi
puppet police as saying that Resistance fighters armed with automatic
weapons and PKS machine guns attacked the column and then withdrew,
having heavily damaged a puppet police vehicle, killing two puppet
policemen and wounding two others.

Kirkuk.
Resistance bomb targets US patrol in Kirkuk.
In a dispatch posted at 5:15pm Mecca time Wednesday afternoon,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded
by a US foot patrol in the middle of the ad-Dibs strategic area of
Kirkuk in northern Iraq.
Eyewitnesses told the Kirkuk correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam
that a bomb that had been planted under a traffic signal for trucks
blew up as a US foot patrol passed by. Five US troops were seen being
evacuated to an Apache helicopter that landed shortly after the attack.
It was unclear how many, if any of the five had been killed and how
many were wounded.
One US soldier reported killed in noon bombing near ar-Riyad, west of Kirkuk.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US armored column on the
road to the city of ar-Riyad, west of Kirkuk in northern Iraq at 12
noon local time.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Kirkuk reported a source in
the Iraqi puppet police, who asked not to be identified, as saying that
a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road, 10km from
ar-Riyad, blew up as a column of four US armored vehicles and four
Humvees drove past.
The explosion disabled one of the armored vehicles, killing one US soldier and wounding two more of them.
