GAZA, (PIC)-- A 69-year-old Palestinian man died on Saturday of cancer after the Israeli occupation authority refused to allow him travel to seek treatment outside the Gaza Strip.

Medical sources said that the health condition of Ali Owaida, inhabiting Nusseirat refugee camp, rapidly deteriorated of late until he died on Saturday morning.

Owaida's son said that his family was trying to seek permission for him to leave the Strip for treatment abroad for a week but all their efforts failed due to the IOA's obstinate refusal and closure of all crossings surrounding the Strip.

Owaida is the 18th victim of the siege in the past three weeks.
