How the USA Lingered in IRAQ for Five Years!
It is not a question to raise, it is a statement to make with an exclamation point about how the grasshoppers of the US caused destruction, burned, tortured and killed while in IRAQ, and successfully lingered for five years.
It was in March 2003, when they began the devastation of Iraq, after 12 years of sanctions had degraded the country’s infrastructure. Despite being so technologically powerful, US forces failed to occupy Iraq swiftly. It took them nearly three weeks to occupy Baghdad, longer than both the 1967 and 1973 Israeli military conquests of Arab lands. By the end of April 2003, they were still unable to gain a full grip on Iraq. To seize complete control, they got help from over twenty-five subservient and/or corrupt countries: The UK, Holland, Spain, Italy, three small and poor Latin American countries, Japan, Korea, Poland, Iran and Israel. (The latter two had agendas of their own with respect to promoting regime change in Iraq). This is a partial list. Prior to the invasion, the US-Iran-Israel Collaborative trained Shiite and Kurdish conspirators in Iran, Israel and East Europe for guerilla warfare in order to utilize them while occupying Iraq. They still needed more help. So they hired mercenaries – vicious murderers to help gain complete control of the entire country. This scenario provides a means of assessing the crucial role of the Iraqi resistance and the mounting losses it inflicted on the US-UK Collaborative. I write 'US-UK Collaborative’ without including Iran and Israel because they incurred the least losses in this imperial adventure. In fact, Iran and Israel are the only winners in the war and occupation of Iraq. But the global supervision, torture and killing of Iraqis were not the only reasons for the ability of the US-UK Collaborative to linger for so many years.
In five years, this Collaborative imposed on Iraqis, not one, but three so-called democratic elections by inserting their own stooges into the political process and by cheating at the ballot boxes, which was a reminder of George Bush’s falsified elections in both terms. The occupiers and their Iranian and Kurdish puppets degraded Iraqi hospitals and medical services by killing hundreds of doctors and occupying many hospitals for their own clients’ benefit. They destroyed electric supply stations and purposefully neglected to fix them during the entire occupation period. They applied torture in prisons and detained tens of thousands of civilians who committed no offence. Most importantly, they injected the society with sectarian upheavals. The US military along with private mercenaries and trained Kurdish and Shiite militias were able to create unprecedented terror between Shiites and Sunnis and provide the worldwide media with news that the Iraqis are killing each other. Letters were left with a bullet near houses of Iraqis threatening them to leave their house or be killed. This policy forced both Sunnis and Shiites out of their homes in order to prepare for the division of the country into three parts occupied by mostly Shiites in the South, mostly Sunnis in the middle and Kurds in the North. These demographic characteristics were far different before the US-UK invasion and occupation. From north to south, Iraq had always been a melt of Arabs, Armenians, Chaldeans, Persians, Kurds and Turkmen.
One of the most important reasons why the US occupation forces were able to remain in IRAQ for five years was the corrupt Iraqi collaborators, be they, Moslem, Christian, Kurd, Iranian or Athuri (Assyrians), who provided the occupiers with information on every matter related to Iraqis: their habits, language, their location and movement, and their likes and dislikes. As soon as these corrupt collaborators disappear or cease their assistance of US forces, the US occupation, along with its multiple bases, will disappear as well.
The disturbing role of Arab governments in the Gulf States (mainly Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates [UAE] and Saudi Arabia), Egypt and Jordan is another factor in the success of this warmonger campaign. From Kuwait and the UAE, US planes and ground forces entered IRAQ to bomb and murder. We, Iraqis, hold these countries’ governments responsible for the bloodshed they supported.
In this fifth anniversary of destruction, lust, deception, robbery, torture and murder, the enemies are still discontented. In this month of March, the US army is coordinating with Iran’s Badr militia and the Kurdish Peshmerga a severe attack on the primarily Arab city of Mosul similar to attacks carried out in Fallujah and Ramadi in previous years. They plan an assault on Mosul in a few days and not one international media source is disclosing and discrediting this murderous plan. They will wait until people are killed and then cover the massacre. The media will tell the world that the "liberators" are cleansing Mosul of al-Qaeda, but the truth is that they are ridding Mosul of its Arab population and courageous resistance. This is part of a Western conspiracy against Arabs and their resistance to occupation. A source in the Green Zone disclosed this plan to the Iraqi Rabita. This attack on Mosul was to take place earlier this year, but the Turkish bombing of and incursions into Kurdistan delayed it few weeks.
I have personally reached beyond my limit listening to US soldiers telling us that they are murdering Iraqis out of fear. This contradicts human nature because that who is scared escapes and would be reluctant to attack and kill, what kind of Euro-American psychic is this? US soldiers have attacked and killed innocent families in their homes, detained their sons and even daughters in prisons; they have gang raped teenagers and women, they have stolen their gold and other possessions, and still DARE to tell us that they have committed all these atrocities out of fear?
The next time I hear soldiers use the terminology of fear to justify the killing of Iraqis, I will challenge them to their faces, not only for their violence, but also for lying. US soldiers are killing Iraqis NOT because they are fearful, but because they are racist, full of hatred and savages. It is time they stop using the innocent euphemism of fear to depict brute savagery. Get out of Iraq and begin thinking seriously of paying reparations to Iraqis and attending prolonged intensive psychiatric therapy.
The Iraqi resistance is alive and kicking hard and well. Despite the different agendas of the various groups, it has inflicted heavy losses on the invaders; so heavy that the US government dares not disclose the real number of dead and wounded, which is at least double the official number.
It is time that the narcissistic, racist, materialistic, ignorant and arrogant US government and public realize that IRAQ will never be divided, and that the US Empire will face its deterioration, if not its demise, in IRAQ.
