Gaza Maan Twenty-two Palestinians have been confirmed killed on Wednesday morning in Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip.

Seven people were killed in morning airstrikes on the Sheikh Radwan and Zaytoun neighborhoods of Gaza City.

Maans reporters in Gaza stated that an Israeli airstrike hit a playground near At-Taqwa Mosque in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood killing fuor and injuring eight.

Another airstrike hit a residential house in the Zaytoun neighborhood in eastern Gaza City killing three and injuring dozens. In Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza Strip, at least one Palestinian was killed as Israeli missile hit his house.

Rescue workers succeeded in removing eight dead bodies from beneath the rubble of their homes which were demolished over their heads in the previous days. Rescue teams have been unable to reach some of the demolished houses over the past few days.

In the same regard, Palestinian medical sources announced that four injured people succumbed to wounds sustained on Tuesday in the Israeli shelling of the UN-operated Al-Fakhoura School in Jabaliya refugee camp on Tuesday. More than 40 people were killed and dozens were injured in that attack, mostly women and children who had taken shelter in the school

Overnight fighting

Overnight, Israel continued to bombard Gaza from land sea and air, killing two Palestinian fighters.

The slain fighter was affiliated to the Ayman Juda faction, an offshoot of the Al-Aqsa Brigades, the armed wing of Fatah. The group named him as Muhammad Abu An-Nasr. He was killed by an Israeli airstrikein the town of Beit Lahiya, in the northern Gaza Strip, which has witnessed heavy fighting since the beginning of the Israeli ground invasion on Saturday.

Israeli bombardment of the Zaytoun neighborhood of southern Gaza City killed an Islamic Jihad fighter and injured several others.

Two Palestinian civilians were injured as Israeli forces targeted home of Bashir Al-Maqusi in Beit Lahiya.

Israeli warplanes also fired missiles at two homes in Rafah near the so-calld Salah Addin Gate, where Palestinians forced their way through Egyptian border in January 2008. After that warplanes and gunboats shelled several underground tunnels in Rafah and open areas in An-Nuseirat refugee camp.

The Israeli military said it attacked about 40 targets in Gaza overnight
