The Assad regime seems determined to wipe out every city in the Homs province as they continue land and aerial bombardment on civilian areas across Homs. This family, including little Diyanah seen in the first part of the video before being wrapped in her burial shroud, was wiped out during regime bombardment July 5, 2013, as they were sleeping in their home in Arrastan city.
A boy, seemingly a toddler, is pulled out from underneath the rubble and rushed to the makeshift hospital in Arrastan after brutal regime attacks on the city Friday. As they are stabilizing the boy, one of the staff members remarks that in Egypt, the people were able to topple two regimes while the Assad regime continues to cling to power by killing and maiming children. Both sets of footage taken July 5, 2013.
Civilians from the city of Arrastan are seen in this footage dated July 5, 2013, digging through the rubble with their bare hands to extract the dead and wounded after regime aerial raids on the city. It is clear they do not have extraction equipment, for at one point in the video they are moving the bricks one by one in order to dig for their fellow citizens.
The Assad regime again used chemical weapons on Friday, July 5, 2013, in an effort to wipe out residents of the city of Homs and its surrounding areas. The people seen here are in Alkhalideeyah district and are suffering from chemical weapons symptoms including suffocation.

Normally, a city's skyline is sleek and neat, with buildings squarely next to one another. However, in Syria, skylines are now jagged, with buildings missing the clean finish of a roof after regime bombardment.
